Yep, I feel kindda dumb right now for thinking it's a different guy. I was like "OMG this guy looks like Cedric Diggory". Guess what my dumb-ass-self, it is him. Inaway talaga ang sarile eh noh?!
His name is Robert Pattinson, an English actor, musician, and surprise he's a model. DUH?! By far, HP4 pretty much was the one to put him on the map and recognized internationally. Then came this movie, Twilight. I've already heared a lot of buzz about this movie (to be released on cinemas nationwide by November 20th) and the book too. I guess Harry and Cedric really have rivalry outside of the book. Daniel had the title role of Harry then Robert for Twilight. Hehe!
I think this was a novelty song back in the late 90's and Thalia had a version of it. I honestly cannot remember that much of her recorded Tagalog songs except maybe one or two of 'em. Nandito Ako was of course remarkable and the other one was the Tagalog version of Maria la del Barrio (Mariang Taga Barrio). I wonder if anyone could recall this one... Chika Lang!
Excuse the terrible video. I didn't make this one...
I was in grade school when Mexican telenovelas suddenly became popular. I guess we, Filipinos, are so in love with Cinderella stories that's why Marimar was such a hit back then. And speaking of Marimar, it won't be such a success if not because of Thalia's amazing performance. She once visited the Philippines to meet her fans, and as a treat, she recorded a tagalog song originally sung by none the less, singer song writer Ogie Alcasid...Nandito Ako.
BTW, I was and still a huge fan of hers and of her performances...
Getting tired...a bit. Gonna watch it...hell yeah! For some reason, this show still keep on pulling me to watch it and it's working apparently. That Elina girl, GORGEOUS!
According to the news (just got in) on GMA, Ely Buendia was rushed to the hospital, if I heared it right, because of heart related problem just like before. Just like to share the news with you guys... Let's pray for him people...
This may not be an original topic but hey, better late than never.
TingTingTingTing! Let's get ready to rumble!!!!!!!!!
It all began with a simple radio commercial that Mo and Andi9 did that apparently, this commercial was aired on Chico and Delamar's show. The latter duo or perhaps a listener was upset of what happened which in my opinion is senseless. I would have to agree with Mo when he said that why be upset or get offended by it when on TV (where network rivalry is pretty much more "deeper") stars from Kapuso and Kapamilya networks can be seen through commercials in their rival homes. In fact they even team up together sometimes (have you seen the Piolo-Dingdong Ponds commercial?).
So Mo in his "defense", took time to make his reaction on this matter and "researched" on the net and found an "old radio commercial" that was allegedly done by Chico himself. It was an audio commercial but someone did a "video" of it and posted it on YouTube. Just watch...Vaclair Airlines!!!
Mistah Mohan Gumatay sure do know how to play the game... That makes me love their show even more! HAHA! Good Times Rulezzzz!!!!
This week's challenge was slightly similar from the first one but with a totally unexpected source of materials. CAR PARTS! I thought that they would go and destroy those cars by Saturn and I was like...are they spending that much just for a challenge? Well, there's no way that's gonna happen and the materials were inside the car..whew! Leanne...winner! Korto Jerell
It was pretty exciting to see the out comse especially because none of 'em ever experienced doing something like that. I remember Leanne said that she has no idea or whatsoever on what to do with all those junk. Turned out that the designers surprised themselves on how those stuff would look like made in to clothes. Korto and Jerell did an amazing job that was well responded by the judges but Leanne for me was such a revelation. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Super well made and impressive silhouette. Even Miss Rachelle Zoe was blown away by it. BTW, this girl reminds me of Marie Genevieve of PRCanada... Leanne Marie Genevieve
Keith was one of my early bets to win this season (for a non-skill related reason to be honest...hehe) and everytime he lands on the edge of being eliminated I'm pissed. Now I'm pissed not because he got eliminated, but because of his attitude all through out the challenge. Being at the bottom two last week made him so depressed and grumpy, and masungit na rin with his competitors. Didn't do him any good at all. But I was extremely touched when he started to cry after saying goodbyes with the other designers. It's not everyday you see a big fella crying on TV right? I believe that he has this huge passion for fashion but perhaps this competition just ain't the right venue for him...
Queer As Folk...I dare say the best TV series I've ever seen and perhaps closest to my heart. American series like Sex In the City, Dawson's Creek, Gossip Girl, and others alike may come and go. Great as they maybe but still, my number one would only be Queer as Folk...
Queer meaning going the odd way from the usual or normal stuff... Different, yet normal and practically still the usual. Your normal "straight" folks in your neiborhood and in the society, is just like the queers and vice versa.
An eye opener, an activist, fun, hardcore, lovable, provocative, and most definitely, non-apologetic. That's how I define this show. More than just entertaining and touching, it triggered some very serious social issues involving homophobic hate crimes and health related issues. It's sensitive enough to touch every single thing about these gender related issues. From the stereotypes to the misconceptions; from the prejudiced to the well reserved; from the LOVE non-believer to the long term relationships; from holding back to coming OUT... There's just so much similarities, it's just that we only see the differences.
I just can't express enough how much I adore Queer as Folk. I watched all 5 seasons and I've learned so much from it. Trust me, this one was made not only for the queens and fags as you call 'em. First and foremost, as I've said, it's an eye opener for all to see.
My mom asked me to do stuff for her yesterday which includes a long, long line, 3 to 4 hours of waiting, and a lot of social skills. On the waiting process, I got bored. Thank goodness they have chairs and couches to sit on 'coz if not, nah uh, cannot count on me at all. Here's the fruit of that boredom. It's been a while since the last time I did a sketch like this one... I'd like to call it, "The Lady with the Braided Hair"...
Tonight's challenge is a classic in the American counterpart of the show. Take pictures around Cubao Expo to take some inspiration for the designers' work. Time Square sure is fancy but hey, you can't deny the rich culture and stuff we have here in our own back yard...
OMG! I'm just so f*ckin annoyed with Aries!!! I'm sure the guy he flirted with in the fabric shop threw up right then and there. One thing about this squealing pig (ooops...too mean) is that he's trying to speak in English with "slang" and I was like...are F*ckin kidding me? Tagalog pa nga lang di na maideretso english pa kaya.
Not much drama this week except for Bo who misses the outside world. After watching tons and tons of reality shows alike, more or less I know what he feels like. Rajo and the judges were really tough this time around but very understandable. Long speeches from the judges and even the guests were highly opinionated. While watching the main elimination part, I just stopped guessing who'll be out because everyone had their share of criticisms, maybe except for Jaz...
Obviously, Jaz was named the winner and Philip came in second. Bo bursted into tears after knowing he's safe. Lucky guy Mr. Eli Gonzalez. He still made it at least a week further. Winnie got eliminated...
Galing nito... fan made daw pero eto mismo yung ginagamit sa show...
This thing was from a contact (you know who you are) and I got interested... I think I had a test almost similar to this with Ma'am Carol (our Guidabce Councilor) and you might discover stuff you don't usually notice bout yourself...
And this thing says that I'm a disorder freak person... Am I really?
What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Drama Nerd
You sure do love the spotlight and probably have a very out-going and loud personality. Or not. That's just a stereotype, of course. Participation in the theatre is something to be very proud of. Whether you have a great voice for musicals, or astounding skills for dramas/comedies; keep up the good work. We need more entertainment these days that isn't television and video games (not that these things are bad, necessarily.)
I dunno exactly who's he "gay-off-ing" with but for sure it is somewhat their version of "Bring it ON"... "Gays don't straight...straighten anything...".
As if Dingdong's recent achievement just ain't enough, here's another Kapuso talent making it big internationally. Well, it's not his first time really to be recognized abroad for he already got not one, not two but three awards from the Asian TV Awards as the funniest man in Asiaa and now the cover boy for Reader's Digest. No other than Bitoy, Mr. Michel V. Suck it *bleep bleep*! Suck on your own show Willie! Woohoo!
Wala eh... di kinakaya ang leveling! Todo na to! Wooohhh!!!
To make up with my previous post about my faulty information, yes, indeed the Potter film was moved to July 19th next year. F*ck right? Next time, be updated Jio ok?! haha! Pinagalitan sarili! haha! So anyway, anyhow, here's a message from Alan Horn, President of Warner Bros. posted in the official Harry Potter film site...
Many of you have written to me to express your disappointment in our moving "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to Summer 2009. Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films. Over the past 10 years, we have nurtured and protected each film, and the integrity of the books upon which they are based, to the best of our ability. The decision to move "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" was not taken lightly, and was never intended to upset our Harry Potter fans. We know you have built this series into what it is, and we thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support. If I may offer a silver lining: there would have been a two-year gap between "Half-Blood Prince" and the much-anticipated first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," which opens in November 2010. So although we have to wait a little longer for "Half-Blood Prince," the wait from that film until "Deathly Hallows" will be less than 18 months. I am sorry to have disappointed you now, but if you hold on a little longer, I believe it will be worth the wait.
Alan Horn President, Chief Operating Officer Warner Bros.
Then again...I feel dumb right now...hehe! So I guess Twilight won the bet after all...
It was something like the line..."I got stinky, I got dirty but ssssee...I learned...Sorry na ha?"...LOL
Apparently, two amazing movies, both were adapted from books, will premiere in the same place at the same time...
I'm talking bout "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and the "Twilight" movie. For quite some time now I've learned that the fifth installment of the Harry Potter film series will premiere on November 20th this year. And as for Twilight movie, I just found out, as in today, that it will be on the same date. Funny thing that the said play date for these films would be earlier than in the US.
Of course I do know what to watch first. I mean, DUH!?, HP fan here through and through? So know doubt, not even a slight chance that there would be a change of heart for me here, that I'll watch the HP film first. I'm asking bout yours! VOTE for your choice!!!
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Twilight I really do think that this guy here looks a bit Brad Pitt-ish in the movie interview with a vampire (incedentally this guy's a vampire too) and the girl looks so much like Hermione Granger (Emma Watson)... Don't you think so?
The Marian-Dingdong team up is undeniably a "monster love team" in terms of popularity and followings. It was also said by some that the latter just had a ride on the former's skyrocketed career. I say...OH NO YOU DIDN'T! Yes, the Marimar project did some good with the both of 'em. In fact, Marian got tons of endorsements and shows after and Dingdong also had his share of endorsements (one of the most publicized would have to be the Bench ad) and follow up shows.
Marian is the reigning FHM sexiest woman of the world even without having any sort of pictorial with the said magazine publication. I don't want to say that it was not that great but I think Dingdong brought it a notch higher than that level. No, he's not named the sexiest male celeb in another mag. Guess who discovered him and would want to have him on their list as one of the 25 sexiest men of the world. E! ENTERTAINMENT!!!
Ka level lang naman nina David Beckham eh... I mean, anu yun? Wala lang naman yun ah! HEHEHEHE!!! Beat that *bleep-bleep*!!! If you can produce one to be on that list in the future, I'll salute you for that. But either you can are you cannot, Dingdong will always be the first Pinoy to be named one of the world's finest men by E!.
None other than the contestants of course. This season of Celebrity Duets, there're 8new non-pro-singer celebs (in their own respective ways) to compete for the ultimate prize of a million bucks (to be donated to their fave charity institution).
Last year's winner, the ever so glam and fab Tessa Prieto-Valdez, will join the panel of judges for this season together with Floy Quintos and Mr. Danny Tan. Shall we go to the contestants...
Bayani Fernando...MMDA's controversial chairman. I didn't know that he's this serious about singing but anyways, doesn't really matter. Will he win the text votes because of his tarps with screaming pink background all over the metro? We'll sure find out.
JC Buendia...Fashion Designer. I've heared of him before. Excuse my ignorance if I don't know much of him. According to the article there on the Celebrity Duets page in www.igma.tv, he just have to unleash the geisha in him from his past life. Good luck to you sir!
Joey Marquez... Actor-comedian and former Paranaque Mayor. I guess the initial description here is enough to describe this guy. Just bring in the shades when he performs...joke!
Melanie Marquez... Former beauty queen and actress. Yep, it'll be a sibling rivalry on national tv. As we all know, aside form being a former title holder, she's known for her unique vocabulary and interesting choice of words. We all love your long leggedness miss thing!
JL Cang... Probably the most remarkable chef in the ka-toque show on Qtv11. I'm not a follower of the show. I catch him more often in SIS and all I can remember about him is his awkward speaking voice. I wonder what he can possibly bring on the table...
Carlene Aguilar... former beauty queen but probably more popular nowadays as the mother of Dennis Trillo's son Calix. I feel she's the kind of girl that you don't want to mess with *PERIOD*
Cory Quirino... the beauty and wellness guru. Many, young ladies out there would love to age gracefully as she does. I'm always confused with her name and our former president Cory Aquino...shocking...just shocking.
And last but definitely not the least...
Phil Younghusband...British-pinoy football star. In my opinion, one of the finest cross breeds to exist on the face of the earth is in his genes. How come he's so freakin caliente? He's not even started singing but the loud noise of the crowd has long been heared...
This have to be the craziest, wildest, gay-est challenge that a gay Project Runway contestant would die to do. Seriously, it was a roller coaster thing.
The clients were drag queens and to make a new look for them is this week's challenge. To help introduce the girls to the designers, Chris March of season 4 was there dressed in a costume that he probably made. He looks better in drag (just an opinion). As it should be, it's all about the show dahling...
The guys in drag were very random in the sense that they could be an easy client or a bitchy one. The girl named Sweetie ain't sweet at all and that Lettuce girl was a bit too bitter. I was actually surprised how different they look like out of those costumes, thick make-up and gi-normous wigs... Well, you can't expect much on the fat ones but the big and tall ones, oh boy, oh boy are they hot! Body better than some gym buffs out there. Blayne's the one who made the Pteroductyl dress outta Gay Jurassic park as what Tim described it because of the 'wings' criss-crossing at the back. And for the first time, I felt sorry for Suede because of the remarks his client given him (that he's lazy and stuff)...
If some of this designers enjoyed themselves with the challenge, much more were the judges. RuPaul was this week's guest judge, drag queen extraordinaire. Terri's, Korto's and Joe's were the judges faves but Joe's work stood out (I have to admit, he did a good job) and named the winner of the challenge. It's Daniel's turn to go home after making a bad impression to the judges of being unattentive and doing a dress that's just not drag-aliscious at all... I wonder if he and Wesley were back together now...
By far, Korto and Terri were the consistent judges' faves. I'll bet that one of these two girls could possibly be the winner this season...
Blayne... Korto... Suede... Terri... Joe...went sailor and won the challenge
I'm currently doing a rerun of ANTM5 on YouTube. One of my fave contestants there was Lisa. At first I really don't like her at all but the moment I saw this episode, all that hate just faded like that. The "why so serious" line from Joker ain't the original one for this one is...
Please! Just stop it! I mean WTF?! You give meaning to one's joke then all of a sudden you'll make a speech saying that you got offended for your co-'artist' by it and sensationalize the whole issue by saying something about 'joke ethics' (that's how I wanna call it)?
“Sana ho kung magbibiro tayo puwede naman kayong mag-compose ng kantang hindi kayo nakakasakit ng kapwa n’yo, e. Wala akong kinantang nakasakit ng kapwa ko,"...Willie a well said moron talk... Then there came the life story of Pokwang. I'm not saying that her life story isn't touching, but look, this is a noontime show you're in and not an afternoon drama anthology or something. Please! Look who's talking. Do all your speech and bashing, you just can't bring a Joey de Leon down by your lame attempts.
You wanted to be a comedian/comedienne and you'll be offended just like that? Therefore stop calling yourself one if you're that light skinned. You're just using the joke to make an issue that you think would eventually make you the 'bida'. Dude, you're just f*ckin insecure and you just can't handle that. Don't use someone else's issue and make it an opportunity to do your lame-o bahsing speech.
Mind you...I can't stand watching everything on this video but more or less I know what he's trying to say. I'll seriously throw up if I'll watch the whole thing.
Drama, drama, and more drama. Is that too much telenovelas we're watching? Nope, just PRPhil. I was just a bit sleepy already by the time the show started and by the time I realized that it's on, Veejay and Eli were already in the middle of a word war. Basically it was about each other's work "copied" or whatever. Only thing that I remember was the line by Eli that goes something like "You look like a worker here" or something and Veejay was like "You're just insecure of me".
And so PRPhil did something a bit different from the usual model selection. In a "pool party". I'll be expecting for more of these as the show progress and the more they do it, the more I'll love 'em. Tatak Pinoy ata yun ah?! Challenge was to make a beachwear that could go from day to night. By the way, I still am having some difficulties connecting that makulit but charming face of Eli with his awesome, muy caliente physique (hey Eli if you'll ever get across with this post...hehe...the compliments are from me!).
Then there goes the drama again, though less intense. For a second I thought I was watching a highschool guidance counceling session when Jojie talked to Eli and Veejay about the previous challenge issue. O sya, sya tama na yan. The runway show finally arrived and all I can see was Apple's face making the least reactions as if she's wearing a hard mask all the way through the show. Everytime the camera catches a glimpse of her, there's just one look. I guess Ivan broke that 'barrier' and finally made her smile. Theresa's looking better and better for me.
After all the discussions and deliberations. Decision made and Aries named the winner of the challenge (YUCK!) and Miss Charette Regalla of Pasig City was eliminated... Celebrate now and do your yuppiedoodles while you can. I'm pretty sure you won't get the ulitmate prize anyway... Bwahahaha!
Wohooo! You either love it or hate it. Great Marvel Comics Secret Invasion featuring GMA and other famous personalities all over the world. Could have been impossible if only the idea didn't come from a Pinoy...
I was watching this news show on Studio23 before the Good Times which was on 11 pm (Yes loyal, pachiz burger ka naman...este ako pala...hekhek!). I was surfing the net while the news anchor said something about Belo and Von Teese so I instantly got myself to face the TV. I like the miss fab Dita. She's friends with Sutan (that Asian make-up artist in ANTM). At first, I thought what I heared was something like Viki Belo would do a Dita Von Teese dance video or what. Apparently and definitely I'm wrong bout that. It was said in the news that Dita performed at the 18th Anniversary celebration of Belo's company. The issue was that Belo paid the Burlesque Queen Extraordinaire some eye popping amount of money which she denied. Geez...Lucky guys who were there enjoyed he flawlessness... Damn gorgeous on the outside, crazy ass lady in the inside. I mean, who's in her right mind to marry someone that looks like Marilyn Manson unless maybe because of the bling and the caching-ching. That's why I love her.
By the way, I don't think that TJ Manotoc is that good of a reporter, much more of a 'news anchor'. Just ain't good... Better as a Sport commentator or something.
That's why I only heared about the Chinese girl who lip synced the Olympics theme song on the news (not on CNN though). What kind of mentality do these organizers or whoever people involved with it have? Obviously it's a cute girl versus ugly girl world now and that ain't pretty at all. I mean, looking at both of their pictures, the original one was not ugly at all. Maybe not as cute as the fake one but hey!
This is not freakin "Butuing Walang Ningning" movie, this is something real yet fake (I can picture this kids on my head about 10 years in the future saying someting like "You're nothing but a second grade, trying hard, lip sync-ing spot light stealer! HARHARHAR!) They call it flawless? There you go morons! Flawless no more! I mean how dare they not to put the actual girl who sang the whole thing despite of her appearance. Maybe if they did it the other way around, perhaps there would be a way lot more that could have been inspired. The hell do they care about the girl's crooked teeth? Mind your own PUSTISOW! Shame on you!
By the way, nice fireworks. I didn't know hallucinations can get this realistic. Good job on being fake, I mean really, you're the best.
That's why I missed this terrible, terrible accident happened on the weightlifting event. Apparently, this Hungarian athlete must have done something wrong in the process and dislocated his arm bone...Just watch...
Phelps, you're the man! Go team US! RP sucks really hard... I'm very disappointed.
Another video clip played over the radio by Mo on Good Times. There's a lot of career dedication stories out there but this woman is unbelievably tough. What would you possibly do if you're in her place, reporting about an on going war and you were put almost in the middle of it and got accidentaly shot by a stray bullet? Is it still a part of your job?
Whoever made this10 Coniomandments, you're so KONYOW!!! hekhek!

pepperanne much too cool for seventh grade, pepperanne she's that one in a million. pepperanne pepperanne marching in her own parade noone's cooler than pepprann, she's her own biggest fan peppranne catch her if you can pepperanne!
I wonder if she ever had a wardrobe make over...She so need it...
Who else but Tyra. Even if you disagree with a lot of her decisions and opinions, still she's always be Tyra and go against the wave. "She's just fierce and ya'll just hate her. I dunno, but I love her." -- Tyra
Look at her justify her choice of this coming season's contestants. Why the hell broadcast the girls before the show even starts? The whole preliminary elimination and castings would be a non-sense thing since ya'll know who're gonna be called, right? So anyways...
In this video I think Tyra's looking...a bit old? And the Neki..Neike..whatever, that Scandaleisha looking girl, I just thought that Tyra talked just too short and too safe about her. I wonder why... I still wonder why... And finally, Marjorie. I just adore this girl. Almost like Agyness in a way...
I've almost forgot bout this one. Remember the homeless shoot in cycle 10? I think the Isis girl wass one of those girls who served as back up models...
Literally a "Devil Wears Prada" reality show. I'm not sure yet but I might watch this show. It's simply a show that exhibits how crazy this industry could possibly get. Go be a maggot before getting the job you've been dreaming about. People, STYLISTA...Ty ty baby is one of the producers of this show (I heared).
Even if team Philippines have the medals slipping through their fingers in the Olympics at least we have a fight on Project Runway. Boy are we talented...
Surprising enough that PR Philippines and PR in America almost have the same challenge and they both worked in pairs this week. Challenge is to make an outfit for the character of Miss Brooke Shields in Lipstick Jungle. I thought Jerell and Stella's team would win this because of the very cohesive work they did but never the less I'm glad on who won. Keith Bryce. I'm not crazy about his choice of partner. Yeah she's good enough but the way she acted towards Daniel's words in the panel...geeez. I believe based on what I saw, every team have had some issues towards the partners concept because basically their way too different from each other as designers. Well maybe except for Jerell and Stella. Terri and Suede got some problem with the shirt construction; Daniel and Kelli had an issue with the skirt; Keith and Kenley had some issues with the choice of fabric; then the bitch came out of Korto when Joe almost dropped her like that in front of Tim. With all this said and done I still think that most of them did pretty well on the challenge. With Blayne and Leanne's, right from the meeting with Brooke there's got to be something that would go wrong with the design and that's just what happened. Blayne almost got eliminated because of not listening at what Brooke's concerns about hid design. And so it was Kelli who got the boot because the judges thought, and Brooke thought, and even I thought that taste level was not there at all. I guess leopard just ain't lucky... Jerrel and Stella Terri and Suede Keith and Kenley * Winner
Yep, JAEL from ANTM8. Nice one Jael! The Goths would love you for this... This one's from TopModel community in LiveJournal by the way if you want to check em up.
HAR HAR HAR! This is somewhat an invasion of private life but hey, they won't put these pics if they're not for public viewing right? Let's meet the designers (I mean some). Don't bother looking for Aries' pics here because I'm still in the right mind not to put something to be used to scare some rats.
