Something worth waiting for in Celebrity Duets 2

None other than the contestants of course. This season of Celebrity Duets, there're 8new non-pro-singer celebs (in their own respective ways) to compete for the ultimate prize of a million bucks (to be donated to their fave charity institution).

Last year's winner, the ever so glam and fab Tessa Prieto-Valdez, will join the panel of judges for this season together with Floy Quintos and Mr. Danny Tan. Shall we go to the contestants...

Bayani Fernando...MMDA's controversial chairman. I didn't know that he's this serious about singing but anyways, doesn't really matter. Will he win the text votes because of his tarps with screaming pink background all over the metro? We'll sure find out.

JC Buendia...Fashion Designer. I've heared of him before. Excuse my ignorance if I don't know much of him. According to the article there on the Celebrity Duets page in www.igma.tv, he just have to unleash the geisha in him from his past life. Good luck to you sir!

Joey Marquez... Actor-comedian and former Paranaque Mayor. I guess the initial description here is enough to describe this guy. Just bring in the shades when he performs...joke!

Melanie Marquez... Former beauty queen and actress. Yep, it'll be a sibling rivalry on national tv. As we all know, aside form being a former title holder, she's known for her unique vocabulary and interesting choice of words. We all love your long leggedness miss thing!

JL Cang... Probably the most remarkable chef in the ka-toque show on Qtv11. I'm not a follower of the show. I catch him more often in SIS and all I can remember about him is his awkward speaking voice. I wonder what he can possibly bring on the table...

Carlene Aguilar... former beauty queen but probably more popular nowadays as the mother of Dennis Trillo's son Calix. I feel she's the kind of girl that you don't want to mess with *PERIOD*

Cory Quirino... the beauty and wellness guru. Many, young ladies out there would love to age gracefully as she does. I'm always confused with her name and our former president Cory Aquino...shocking...just shocking.

And last but definitely not the least...

Phil Younghusband...British-pinoy football star. In my opinion, one of the finest cross breeds to exist on the face of the earth is in his genes. How come he's so freakin caliente? He's not even started singing but the loud noise of the crowd has long been heared...

Flashback from the 80s and 90s...

Here are some snippets from what I got in the library Filipiniana section. Let's look back on how (JOLOGS) they were before where Gary V. looks a bit Michael Jackson-ish, Ian Veneracion still have no facial hair, and the girls have their hair sort of poofed up...See what I mean.
I can imagine now, perhaps when we grow older and we'll look on ourselves through fotos, I can hear us saying how JOLOGS we were. Folks, I guess we all have our time to be JOLOGS. It's just something to get through and get over with. :P

A Tribute to my famous celebrity "friends"...

Yeah, yeah right! We're not close as in close or what so ever. Baket? Masama bang mangarap? But What's real here is that sometime, somewhere over the net we've encountered each other... Now I pay tribute to these people that somehow, in some weird way, they knew I existed on the other side of the world...

Nigel Barker

I once had this blog site on Wordpress and wrote an article there about Mr. Nigel Barker. In my surprise he replied on it. People I've proven that it's no bogus person who commented on it, I assure you it's genuine (check it out here: "It sucks not to see Mr. Barker"). Thanks once again to Mr. Nigel Barker for the comment. It means a lot to me and I'll be forever be greatful for that. If ever I'll have the chance to meet you please, please sir give me an autograph! Hehehe!

Brian Gorell

I love this guy because he's super nice sa YM. Such a funny person too. To Brian, once again, good luck on your fight. You're way better than Pacquiao, trust me. GucciGang has almost fallen down, thanks to this guy! Kudos Brian!

Yam Laranas

with Jesse Bradford...
Just came in... Just like Mr. Barker, one of my posts got into his attention which was the trailer of his movie "The Echo". Getting more and more excited to know that soon enough, it would be hitting our favorite cinemas. Watch it, it's damn cool!

Dare to be a Gabriela Silang?

Marian sure did. This may sound quite bias because I am a proud Kapuso and Marian Rivera fan (I'm jologs I know), but as a human being who can get hurt, I dare say that my stand is by her side.
Last week, this Youtube video dropped like a bomb and made headlines. Obviously, this is an attempt to bring the Dyesebel star's name down. "Kapag ang puno hitik sa bunga, laging pinupukol." Tama ba yun? Anyway, that's the most appropriate line for this situation.
Celebrities are the people whom the ordinary people look up to. Often, they are said to be near perfection. Perfection personified as they are, that won't change the fact that they're still human. At least Marian is not some hypocrite trying to portray a saint just for the sake of her career. Being a true Cavitena and a true Filipina, she's just being the tough girl that she is. Certainly not the type of girl whom you can walk on. What happend here is that she was provoked for her to react in such a way that people would consider very unlady-like.
Please! If this is an attempt on making her look bad, this would have to be the lamest. Terrible in fact. But as lame and terrible as it is, I would like to extend my gratitude to that guy. Thank you because Marian gained even more supporters that detractors. People like the REAL thing now. With her tough persona, she gained more fans for people want someone to look up to who can stand for herself. Marian, good to see some real people in the industry. Keep it up and may God bless you always.
You be the judge:

the MOLE to remember...Cindy Crawford

One thing that reminds me of Cindy Crawford is her mole. It's like without the mole, it isn't her any more. I just saw her in the Tyra Banks show and I was like, she's so damn gorgeous! She sure is good at aging great... One hot faoxy momma she was and always will be.

Talkin bout supermodels, she can't be out. Ms. Banks even consider her as her idol. Look at this Pepsi commercial... This one's hard to forget.
