Politics + Pacquiao = CIRCUS

Let me just put my two cents in this topic as it is SUPER duper infuriating! Like UGH!!!

More or less, it is confirmed that the "People's Champ" [sarcastically saying], Manny Pacquiao would be running as a congressman in Saranggani if I'm not mistaken. Just this once, the song Stick to the Status Quo [of HSM] seems to be the soundest advice for him. Personally, this move translates into something like "Hey, I'm filthy rich, I'm so damn popular, I can minimize the traffic every once in a while, and I got connections, why not run?".

It is pretty much established that Philippine Politics became the playground of the elites, the popular, and the rich nuisance. And a lot of times, these people can make a damn big mess as they're also humans. But the thing is, if something so pure of an intention [as they say Pacquiao's is] backed up with people with questionable reputation such as that dude who's name sounds like 'hooked up' in the native language and that lady with that freaking scary mole on the face, what do you think will happen? And oh, don't forget that friggin Hawaiian shirt dude! Despite the 'advice kuno' that he gave to Pacquiao on not to run...who are you fooling again?

Let's just call him a politician's accessory. Forget about the glory he brought to this country, the fame he managed to achieve, and not to mention, the money he generated and gave to charity. He's used inevitable and I'm not even sure if he's aware of it. And if he does, he probably enjoys whatever benefit it has given him so far. It is just irritating to hear some random people being interviewed on TV saying they'll support this non sense only because they believe that this guy can give a lot... Like, up to what extent? Wake the freakin hell up or I'll smack you on the face!

It is a circus as it is. Why add gas to the fire? It sounds as dumb as the catch phrase "metro gwapo" and a freaking city painted in pink. For president? Puh-leez! And what's with the well publicized marraige proposal? Are you kidding me with your trike ride? By the way, that's the worst and stupidest televised campaign I've ever watched... Talk about hideous...

What Manila Supposed to Look Like

While browsing at Carlos Celdran's Facebook account, I came across with this video one of his contacts posted. All of a sudden, a certain flashback came into mind, when Carlos himself toured us around San Agustin Church wherein he narrated the history of then Queen of the Pacific, no other than Manila.

This is a fascinating clip to watch as it showcases Manila back in late 1930's, or, if my memory serves me right, the Golden Age of Manila just like Carlos said. As we went along with the tour, I can't help but to feel a sense of pride but a great deal of grief and long sighs. Questions of "what if" and "what could have been" were mind boggling plus the big question "what went wrong?". Well, I'll just leave those questions to you and enjoy the video...

Crashing the Stereotypical Gay Category

UGH! Enough generalizing, it's never correct anyway. And stop calling yourself "bisexual" if you're a screamin fag... Just be proud of yourself for a change...

Allison Harvard -- in fake blood

Nope, it's not a scary movie peepz. It's just another Allison Harvard video from FourFour [which by the way owns the cat that interviewed Allison and the one who interviewed Celia]. It's a little disturbing though...but hey, it's a 100% Allison so I can't complain...
Which is creepier though... her pre-show photos or this video? The choice is yours...

Freaky ANTM duo -- Lauren and Allison

If Allison and Lauren were in the same Cycle in ANTM, they're probably the best friends in the house. These two were pretty much the most vocal and more expressive in terms of their art. So it is no surprise that these guys are friends... Just look...

The thing bout these girls is that, if you throw in some tank top and skinny jeans plus a pony tail or a bun at the back of their heads, instant head turning look. I wish Allison will keep the blond and Lauren put on a little more sophistication...

More Charo Ronquillo

Here are more photos of Charo from her Facebook... Hehehe! I'm such a stalker...

Reminds me of Rhian Ramos. Nevertheless, she's so pretty here...
And guess what, she appeared on the Tyra Banks Show.

Just an observation... Tall, slender, morena/kayumanggi, and long hair... Apparently, these are the qualities of a Filipina that makes 'em stand out physically in the international scene.

Exhibit A. Gloria Diaz -- Miss Universe 1969

Exhibit B. Miriam Quiambao -- Miss Universe 1sr Runner Up 1999

Exhibit C. Anna Bayle -- First Asian Supermodel
Charo is said to be the next Anna Bayle and in fact, she's on her way...

Charo Ronquillo -- Asian Kate Moss

I posted before an article about Asia's first supermodel [Anna Bayle] which happens to be a Pinay. Then, just recently, I saw Charo Ronquillo in Pacquiao's Pinoy Records show in GMA [I can't believe I actually typed in the name of the show]. Upon hearing the word 'supermodel' on the commercial plug, I instantly got the urge to watch it.

I got to say, I was pretty skeptical at first when this young lady came out on TV claiming that she's an international supermodel. I then got my proof right here baby.

I see the resemblance of Kate Moss...

She's currently with Ford Models New York [I personally checked their website and there she is] and worked with Kenneth Cole, BCBG, Sisley and Benetton to name a few. Plus, she also walked for Chloe Dao in Project Runway Season 2 Finale. Check her out at 2:06.

With fellow Ford model Chanel Iman.
In a Marie Claire editorial in 2007.
Well...Good luck to her and her future endeavor in the modeling industry.

Allison Harvard -- only cute-r

I thought to myself, nope it's not possible in the cosmic world that we live in. But YES, it just happened. Allison Harvard featuring Winston the Cat.

Make Me A Supermodel Season 2 Finale -- thoughts and photos

Season 2 finally ended and I thought it was pretty average. I'm not a hundred percent happy with the Finale episode but I'm cool with it. At least my early bet won this one. Branden! Jonathan, on the other hand, grew on me so I would have been happier if he won. His story and personality is more endearing compared to Branden and Sandhurst combined. Gosh, Jon's baby is so cute and his wife is so pretty...

So anyway, here are some random pictures from the final three
[from facebook and cyberspace]

Yep, that's McKey with Sandhurst. No camera trick you guys. Apparently, this two worked together in Trinidad and Tobago's Fashion Week. If you've followed MMaS, you probably have and idea how big of a guy is Sanhurst. Man, this girl got some muscles.

Jonathan with his family. I can tell that he's such a dedicated family man.

Some recent works of Jonathan. This dude can make millions now...

Young and hip. He won over the other two because of his transformation from a boy to a man. Just like his mom said, "I sent a boy to New York, I got a man back".

Tyson looked like a midget here... I like Nicole...but not in this picture.
Oh well, congratulations to Branden and may you flourish in the industry...

Yey! Allison Harvard Update!

Finally some Allison Harvard post show test shots! You gotta love 'em!

Work! See updates from Fo and Teyona here. I got to say, Fo grossed me out.

Me Love Some McKey

Less personality, more likely to have a job. Not saying that she has zero, but she's a meh on TV. But look at her now...
