meeting the cousins...

Christmas is over (well... not really yet) and food still over flows. Last December 24, we had the usuall Noche Buena here in the Philippines in our grand ma's place. It was a very nice evening to spend with my cousins. Too bad I only got a pair of tito and tita there and both my brothers are in two different countries. Oh well, whatever (haha!)...

Then 25th came and we went to church early in the morning. Lots of people there trust me. But it was kindda weird to see this 11 or 12 year old girl wearing a red two piece santa outfit or something that I just can't help to think about what the heck did her parents thought in their heads that they let their kid wear something like that. HIDEOUS!!! I'm telling ya! Anyway I'm over that now. Then after eating lunch that day, me and my boo went to the mall to chill and watch a movie (Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo... You guys should watch it! It was absolutely hilarious!).

Then came yesterday. I was actually looking forward on this day because this was the Santos clan reunion day (My lola was a Santos before getting married with my lolo). In our Noche Buena we had my lola's place full (just enough for a family or two), but this one was a whole different story. We're not just a family or two but I guess more than a dozen! The organizer family thought of having a color coding for us to easily identify the clan's subdivisions. There were a lot of greens, blues whites, some yellow then us, the orange clan (entitled to Inang Sepa's family). We were totally out numbered by the other colors because we only got five members present there. Well, we don't have that much to start with. They're just hard workers when it comes to making babies and stuff (hehehe!). All together it was like a whole baranggay packed in a house. Each family had to be photographed one by one. It only made it more obvious that we're just five there. Then we have to be photographed altogether. It was almost impossible at first because we won't fit in the camera's frame. The photographer ended up on top of a tricycle to get a better vista. Thank God it was a success. Talking about relatives and cousins, I could only name a few of 'em that I know personally. Most of 'em I haven't even seen before. We had our names written our shirts but then we really haven't got the chance to have some proper "getting to know ya" stuff because of not having a sound system there. I'm not that of a social guy so I was just like looking for some familiar faces to at least have a conversation but not trying to be obvious of being despearate. Finally came Arjay (whom by the way I still don't know his real name if "arjay" is just a nickname) one of my cousins there. He's a year older than me (I'm 20, thank you), son of tita Babeth. The stuff that I could remember bout him was that he's my only couz that I made friends with when we were kids since were almost of the same age. We talked a bit in our reunion bout school, our previous reunions, etc. It was good even though it was a bit exhausting. Too bad that the weather wasn't good yesterday but at least meeting new faces was a treat itself...

*vomiting mode*

I'm sorry to say this but ANTM 9 is simply the worst season ever! WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! So freaking diappointing! People from LiveJournal had their thousand plus rants about the finale. Not surprising AT ALL! Jenah girl, I'm sorry you didn't win but thanks for saying the "spewing rainbow" thing. That made me love you more! Oh gosh you have no idea. Cycle 10 should be million miles better to make up for this one! UGH! I can't even say the girl's name out of terrible disappointment! Let's just call her "Dora the CoverGirl". The only thing that I could say after seeing the finale is "this girl should've been disqualified in the first place" after violating some contest rule like not having a national ad campaign for any thing in the last 5 years. That was not just an "experience" back when she did that Wendy's commercial. UGH! Wait let me get my plastic bag first...*VOMIT*vomit*vomit* Ugh! Still feel awful... Oh Heather, I miss you already...

Hey dora, where's your pet monkey?! And just where is this rainbow coming from?

not excited anymore...

For the past two weeks, two of my bets in ANTM 9 just got eliminated. Two of the girls that I believe had a better portfolio than those who remains. First one was Lisa. Gorgeous girl with equally stunning pictures. Personality wise, hmmm... I thought that maybe she's so stressed and tired of all those critique. On that Covergirl shoot she's just dreadful but the photoshoot for it was excellent. Well at least she made it to China.

Next was Heather. Now this one was quite painful to watch. I really love this girl right from the start. But then again, we cannot expect that much from her in terms of social stuff. I was thinking that if she could pull it off on the go sees, I would say that she had a big chance of making it into the final 3 if not the winner. But no matter what, I'll always love her. Surprising that out of 5 girls only 2 got in time back to the agency. Guess what, those two are whom I least like among the girls. And Bianca winning the challenge? Is she good, hmmm yeah perhaps but the smile that the designers love bout her, in my opinion its ugly. UGH! She looks like a freaking clown to me. Honestly, I wished that if ever Heather would be cut off in the show, Bianca would go first. Now, I end up having no excitement what so ever on the next few episodes... So there were 4... If either Jenah or Chantal would win, it would be fine. With the other two, I'll just vomit... vomit for two different reasons... I'll just share it some other time.

spreading the LOVE

Nope it's not Valentine's day yet. Christmas is yet to come too. Perhaps we don't need an extra special occassion to spread to you guys the LOVE from PayPerPost!

Want to earn extra just by blogging? PayPerPost could be the one to help you! Personally, I love sharing stuff over the net. So when I've heard of this, I thought, why not get more out of something you really, really love to do. One of my realatives introduced me to PPP. Her story is quite innovative itself. She started her blog site about two years ago and when she found about payperpost, she signed up for it. When she told me about this, she already established her very own internet cafe from her earnings here! I was like WOW I wanted to sign up to!

Now, I just had my first post approved! Hmmm... What am I going to do with my money? Personally, it could help me a lot with my studies. I'm in college now and thesis is almost there! This is my perfect way to lighten my parents' financial burden. Yey me! Aside from that, I'm also looking forward on meeting new friends here. Hope to see you guys in payperpost! Ciao!

delightful way of spending a WEEKEND

Ever since I was a kid, I'm in to art. You can see all my scribbling every where with out the exemption for our walls. My parents saw this talent in me that they started to expose me into art at an early age. They made me saw those fabulous art works in malls and museums. I couldn't be more inspired then to start my own little masterpieces.

This interest grew in me that I ended up taking Architecture as my course in college. Famous and historical structures has always been my center of interest in my course. When I found out about the ‘First Friday Weekend Art Walk’ in America's oldest City, St. Augustine, Florida, I was like "what a way to spend a weekend!" I couldn't find a better place to pay a visit on my first weekend of every month. Paintings, photography, music and of course, Architecture all in one venue. The art gallery features only the finest collection of awesome creations by St. Augustine's artists. Best of all, free parking and sightseeing Train and Trolley tours are available here. Mark the dates December 7 and 8, Friday and Saturday on your calendar! It would be a great feast for both our eyes and ears!

battle of the REALITY shows...

Project Runway is back on the air! At last the long wait is finally over. I watched the first episode for this season and I'm just a bit disappointed not to see the actual casting process. I'd just like to know if Daniel Franco would be there! HAHA!

In ANTM, the photoshoot was damn fierce for Jenah (of course), and Chantal(as in WOW). Anyway, the episode is entitled "the girl who starts to lose her cool". My gosh! I'm sort of split on how I feel on how Heather reacted on some critique given to her. I really do think that it's a harsh comment. Like it or not, that's how the biz goes. Boy am I surprised on how she acted towards the other girls. Maybe it's just one big flaw on her character (due to her illness perhaps).

So, after seeing both of these episodes I checked out ANTM community in LiveJournal and saw this post. It has this link to a video from YouTube. A Tyra show episode featuring Rami Kashou's collection (Project Runway 4 contestant). Surprisingly, one of the models there looks very much like Seleisha (ANTM 9 contestant). Might be wrong about this but she really looks like her and was suspiciously placed in the middle of the other models. Perhaps ANTM 9 was done taping their episodes by then. What do you think?

remembering how SHE was...

I was looking at her and all I can say is that, what a waste of talent... Britney Spears in her then Pepsi commercial...

I used to lover her you know...

pushing Daisies

PUSHING DAISIES -- Again, my dear friend Ms. Dumalus introduced to me a very, very nice thing to watch. This time it's a TV "dramedy". This series is just great. The best thing about this one is that it's very enjoyable to watch because of the twists and turns of the story. Definitely for all ages though it's kind of morbid at times.

Just watch the show, I'm sure you'll love it. Ned the pie maker is sortta cute... Uhuh! And his pie parlor has a very provocative name of "Pie Hole" but it won't come across in a green way (unless you have a very polluted head up there). I wonder what's like to bring something dead to life... Hmmm...

Tyra said "TagaLEG"

I found this video on YouTube which was from the Tyra Show with guest Vanessa Hudgens. To those who still have no idea, Vanessa was half Filipino. Too bad she can't speak Tagalog. The reason why I posted this one is because I find it really, really cool and funny how Tyra pronounced "Tagalog" (Philippines' national language). Close enough but of course with the slang. Sounded like taga-LEG. Hehe! Love her for that!

forget bout the girls...

hehe! The whole music video stuff was great but Enrique Iglesias was hot himself. HAH! But oh well, on this episode of ANTM I think Lisa and Heather did well as vampire ladies. Poor Heather falling like that on the taping. She looked almost dead. Then again, she ended up nailing her part and looked drop-dead gorgeous. You want some ranting bout all of this, check out http://community.livejournal.com/topmodel. Lots of angry "ex-fans" there that still watch the show anyways.

Looks like there's not a lot of people who really cares of Sara being eliminted. "Oh, she's out. Ok. Next?" I have to agree on one of those comments in LiveJournal that why bother casting a plus size if they won't make it close enough or win this thing. But I also agree with Nigel when he said that it was a hard position for Sara to be in. She should either gain or loose weight within the span of time given in the show...

Merry Christmas says THE Dickinson

I guess this one's never too early for the occassion. 12 days of Christmas by no other than Ms. Janice Dickinson!!! Yey!

HOT Avril Lavigne!!!

Her new song might be around for quite a while now. I saw her music video of HOT couple of minutes ago and it speaks for its self. Definitely, absolutely HOT HOT HOT! I'm not that much of a Avril fan though I really enjoy her music and sense of character. She's hot indeed!

I adore her fashion style! OH gosh! Sassy and punk! LOVE her.

Freaky ending...

Another ANTM episode ended. Shocking this time. At the first minute of the show, I'm like "ok I'm bored", because again, you can easily predict who's going to be out. But most definitely, the ending was not as expected. Kindda creepy for me because it was like a clip from a documentary in a life of someone who just died or something. Ambreal girl, I don't know if you have to be happy at all.

Anyway, I still have my picks for the week. Jenah and Heather impressed me most this week with their photo shoot. I can't help but say WOW to this girls. Especially to Heather when she won the challenge with Heather and Ambreal. Nice shoot with Mary J. Blige too.

Looking fashion forward working out the card board boxes...

Doing good not on a profile this time...Gorgeous!

ooh la la...ms. Ebony...

I knew it. Just a bit of fixing on her self esteem and all, she's stepping up of her game. Confidence is now rising for ms. Ebony. I'm just giving credit on someone who's improving.

Some girls in the competition already got it like Lisa and Heather though both of which still have some minimal problems of their own. Heather can be awkward as hell but her photos rocks. And in this episode (fifth one) Heather showed a part of her that's quite different in a good way. Keep it up girl!

long wait... is it worth it?

It was alomost like three days of waiting til I can download this episode of ANTM 9. Probably I'm one of the excited ones to watch it because it's the makeover episode.
I tried my hardest not to watch any spoiler for the episode for I want to see myself who's hair would be chopped off, who's gonna cry and stuff. Unfortuantely, though I haven't watched any of those, I knew already who's gonna be bald. Another thing was, I knew who'd be eliminated. Anyway, spoiled as it is I just want t post here my favorite pics for the week...

First time she blown away the judges in terms of her performance in the photoshoot. Keep it up Ms. Ebony! I think if she finally know how to be IN the game, she'll knock the other girls down. Better hair by the way. When her old hair was being unglued from her, I was holding my breath. Can feel the pain... Ugh!

She had "weeds" all over her but she didn't get lost. Not much of change on her makeover which was great. She's damn so amazing as she is so no need for drastic transformation.

I don't like her in front of the panel. I don't think she's pretty at all but her pictures are amazing. I like her makeover pic here.

Not a big fan of her make over but I think Sarah is improving...

All these girls are absolutely stunning but Mr. Barker of course have his own. Her queen and wife, Cristen Chin. She's so gorgeous! Can you imagine two hot models as a couple.

Joanie can sing too!

Another ANTM gurl whom just recently I found out that she can sing... Perhaps not the level of Mariah but I think she's damn cute... Ms. Joannie Dodds... again with her friend and fellow ANTM gurl Lisa d Amato.

Monday, October 8, 2007

what the??!!

This one's kind of surprising to me. I saw this music video from YouTube starring Ms. Lisa D'Amato from ANTM Cycle 5. Wow! She can sing now. Again we can see her crazy ass personality which made her stood out some how on her cycle aside from her stunning poses. Just watch this...

when rock climbing became FASHIONABLE

Surprise, surprise... Ms. Jenah surfaced above the other girls. She's like one of the not so interesting girls but just look at this one...

Sure did a really great job. Well, my favorites were not that far behind coz they also did a nice job with this photo shoot.

Heather

Lisa

My only disappointment was i thought its the makeover week... But oh well... Again it's an impressive week for the girls...

I feel sorry for Kimberly coz in my opinion Bianca should be the one to pack. I mean, attitude wise, Bianca's way down there. But I must agree though that Kimberly didn't excelled that much on her picture...

Housewives shouldn't take this as a joke...

This morning I watched the latest episode of America's Next Top Model and I was like I have to post something after watching it. But this one concerns me more so I'm typing it in first.

Just last night, I heared the news about this "accidental" insult to the Philippine medical community by the show Desperate Housewives. Teri Hatcher's character, Susan, had a dialogue, "OK, before we go any further, can I check these diplomas? Just to make sure they aren't, like, from some med school in the Philippines?"

Such a short line, an entire race has been terribly insulted. I, myself even if I'm not in the field mentioned, because I am a Filipino and proud of it, I got hurt. I definitely agree to our officials that a public apology, appriciated as it is, is not enough compared to the very damaging words said. We're not saying this because we're just being ultra sensitive about the issue. We're talking about dignity and crediblity not only of someone's profession but also of their race.

some snap shots...

Sorry for these not so clear photos here. I just took some pictures while watching ANTM on my laptop. But these girls sure did make it work. Here's Lisa and Heather...

LISA...with the face tumor

Heather...on second hand smoking

first to GO HOME...

ANTM 9's first casualty, Mila. When the final 13 were chosen, she was the first to be called. Too bad she's the first one to pack her belongings and go home.

Hmmm... What can I say bout the start of the real competition. The house is great, I'm just not wowed bout it. The statement of going GREEN is excellent though. For me the best ANTM house yet was back in Dani's days, Cycle 6. Now that's green! The first photo shoot revealed who got the real potential. My personal picks for this one are Sarah, Lisa, and Heather. Out of the girls there, these three stood out the most. The photoshoot was all about the bad effects of smoking.

Sarah doesn't look like a plus size on her picture. I thought Mila is more curvatious than her. Stunning picture!

Lisa, she kicked Bianca's ass after delivering a better photo. Bianca was like, "do you think you did better than me?" I like the way Lisa stood up for herself when Bianca said that America's Next Top Model couldn't be some exotic dancer. As if she's anything like a role model herself.

And last but not the least Ms. Heather. Her illness really isolates her among the other girls. The other's were ganging up behind her back. But despite the whole slight autism thing, she had the most captivating at the same time disturbing photo of all.

I could have posted here the pix for this specific photoshoot but can't find it on the net yet... Anyways, looking forward on the next episode... Makeover I suppose...

Yoanna House in Queer Eye

Now this one's a cute photo shoot with the daddies. Ms. Yoanna House guested in Queer Eye. I clicked on this video because of her not necessarily because of the fab 5 or the naked photoshot but i find it cute though. Hehe!

Mr. Bradford is kindda cute...

As I'm impatiently waiting for Ms. Iza Calzado's first Hollywood film "the Echo", I came across with pictures of Jesse Bradford (star of King of the Hill, Flags of Our Fathers, etc.) and the looks can't escape a gay guy's eyes.
In my opinion, he have this hunk and fresh to look at qualities.

I just wanna remind you guys to watch the movie The Echo when its out ok!? Ciao!

This dude is complainin bout the size of his thing down there... What are the Americans to do with your problem dude? I myself is an asian but... ok I don't wanna brag on it. You'll figure out what I'm tryin to say. HEHE! LOLz!

the FUTURE of Fashion... ANTM Cycle 9

Now this post is long over due so here it is now. Cycle 9 of America's Next Top Model is now taking the world by a storm. This cycle of the numbah one reality show in America (for me) marked its first episode last Sept. 19. I've only get to watch it the next day though. So anyway, the girls go cruisin and the final 13 were named. Funny that people already now who's gonna be in the house before the premier episode. At least we get to see how they're chosen. Sucks thouh because I was expecting a two hour special like the past cycles. Quite disappointed bout it. Fohget bout it and just enjoy it.

Hmmm... Personal picks... I like Lisa. I think everything bout her is very modelesque. Victoria the one with the long face. I have to agree with Tyra that her face is quite interesting. And the girl with the hump, Heather. I think in the end she'll have the most transformation. She actually reminds me of Ms. Shandi Sullivan from Cycle 2. The awkward mousy girl that turned into a super high fashion girl. I hope she'll stay long enough. Lots of black girls this season. Some of 'em can easily be ditected as bitches. Don't wanna name one. Hehe! And oh, the not so plus size girl Sarah. I think she's one of the prettiest girl there. Again another Sarah got into the house. I think she's the 6th. I hope this cycle will be one of the best.
