Yari KA!!! HaHaHaHaHaHaHa!

As if Dingdong's recent achievement just ain't enough, here's another Kapuso talent making it big internationally. Well, it's not his first time really to be recognized abroad for he already got not one, not two but three awards from the Asian TV Awards as the funniest man in Asiaa and now the cover boy for Reader's Digest. No other than Bitoy, Mr. Michel V. Suck it *bleep bleep*! Suck on your own show Willie! Woohoo!

Wala eh... di kinakaya ang leveling! Todo na to! Wooohhh!!!

Dingdong's Biggest Compliment yet...

The Marian-Dingdong team up is undeniably a "monster love team" in terms of popularity and followings. It was also said by some that the latter just had a ride on the former's skyrocketed career. I say...OH NO YOU DIDN'T! Yes, the Marimar project did some good with the both of 'em. In fact, Marian got tons of endorsements and shows after and Dingdong also had his share of endorsements (one of the most publicized would have to be the Bench ad) and follow up shows.

Marian is the reigning FHM sexiest woman of the world even without having any sort of pictorial with the said magazine publication. I don't want to say that it was not that great but I think Dingdong brought it a notch higher than that level. No, he's not named the sexiest male celeb in another mag. Guess who discovered him and would want to have him on their list as one of the 25 sexiest men of the world. E! ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Ka level lang naman nina David Beckham eh... I mean, anu yun? Wala lang naman yun ah! HEHEHEHE!!! Beat that *bleep-bleep*!!! If you can produce one to be on that list in the future, I'll salute you for that. But either you can are you cannot, Dingdong will always be the first Pinoy to be named one of the world's finest men by E!.

Something worth waiting for in Celebrity Duets 2

None other than the contestants of course. This season of Celebrity Duets, there're 8new non-pro-singer celebs (in their own respective ways) to compete for the ultimate prize of a million bucks (to be donated to their fave charity institution).

Last year's winner, the ever so glam and fab Tessa Prieto-Valdez, will join the panel of judges for this season together with Floy Quintos and Mr. Danny Tan. Shall we go to the contestants...

Bayani Fernando...MMDA's controversial chairman. I didn't know that he's this serious about singing but anyways, doesn't really matter. Will he win the text votes because of his tarps with screaming pink background all over the metro? We'll sure find out.

JC Buendia...Fashion Designer. I've heared of him before. Excuse my ignorance if I don't know much of him. According to the article there on the Celebrity Duets page in www.igma.tv, he just have to unleash the geisha in him from his past life. Good luck to you sir!

Joey Marquez... Actor-comedian and former Paranaque Mayor. I guess the initial description here is enough to describe this guy. Just bring in the shades when he performs...joke!

Melanie Marquez... Former beauty queen and actress. Yep, it'll be a sibling rivalry on national tv. As we all know, aside form being a former title holder, she's known for her unique vocabulary and interesting choice of words. We all love your long leggedness miss thing!

JL Cang... Probably the most remarkable chef in the ka-toque show on Qtv11. I'm not a follower of the show. I catch him more often in SIS and all I can remember about him is his awkward speaking voice. I wonder what he can possibly bring on the table...

Carlene Aguilar... former beauty queen but probably more popular nowadays as the mother of Dennis Trillo's son Calix. I feel she's the kind of girl that you don't want to mess with *PERIOD*

Cory Quirino... the beauty and wellness guru. Many, young ladies out there would love to age gracefully as she does. I'm always confused with her name and our former president Cory Aquino...shocking...just shocking.

And last but definitely not the least...

Phil Younghusband...British-pinoy football star. In my opinion, one of the finest cross breeds to exist on the face of the earth is in his genes. How come he's so freakin caliente? He's not even started singing but the loud noise of the crowd has long been heared...

talking bout "reTARDS" on TV...

I know that there's a lot of local TV programs that are simply bad. And when bad turned 'terribly bad', it means I cannot stand it at all. If ratings would be the basis of a show's popularity and success, then perhaps they made it happen. But please, oh please! Maybe that's one big reason of people's sudden facination on those Desperate Housve or Gossip Girl type of shows.

If I have anything to say not so good on a show, I'd rather not say it at all. I'll make any exemption on that today. I'm sorry SIS.

Never been a fan at all maybe because it's just not my TV show genre. The three hosts are pretty (in fact I love Carmina's and Gelli's style of dressing up) but all I usually hear are loud talkin (and shouting at times). The set have the tendency to be overly decorated with a little bit too much of unecessary junk (that looks cheap to me). Everyday, they come up with that stupid rhyming lines as the "title" for the day's episode...cheeze curlz anyone?! Oh, by the way, your cameras are way too malikot. The viewers can get a bit dizzy you know.

The reason I'm posting this rant is because, this morning's episode had driven me nuts! NUTS really! Today is all about a dancing showdown of these hunky male celebs (Aljur Abrenica, Mart Escudero, Andrew schimmer, Dion Ignacio, and Arthur Solinap) to the tune of Ricky Martin's dance songs. In between the dance numbers, of course they do some talkin because it's a "talk show" remember? The hosts came up with the question: "Ano ang gusto nyo about Ricky Martin?". Now the answers could get pretty too gay for the people being asked are males. And yeas as expected, it sounded a bit too gay: Ah..Ang nagustuhan ko sa kanya is yung sex appeal nya; Ang gusto ko sa kanya eh yung mga moves nya. The shocker was that someone answered "Agree ako sa sinabe ni *bleep*, gusto ko yung sex appeal nya, at tska laging 'Felix bakat'. I...I...I'm shocked.

Now what made it worse I guess was the "judges" of the day. Mostly screamin parloristas. Oh my gosh, I feel bad on being a bit of a racist (almost) here but goodness gracious, people bear with me on this. The cheering and screaming is good for like a second or two but that's it. They tried to comment on how the boys did on shaking their bon bons and all I heared were some non sense talking, mostly copied on each other's word. I feel like it was some sort of a sabotage on these people's sense of dignity making fools out of themselves (ooh! I know a show like that *cough*WOWOWEE*cough*). Please don't make 'em look more of an idiot out of themselves!

I dunno, maybe it's just my opinion. You have yours and I have mine and everyone's entitled to their own opinions right? SIS please make it work! Chop chop now! Don't make it too cheesey! Argh!

Korean Invasion: Far from OVER...

For some reasons, Korea and the Philippines 'clicked' just like that. First, it is more than evident that the Korean population here in the Pinas is rising. Probably one of the main reasons is that we (Filipinos) are known to be proficient in English and wanted to learn from us. In fact, according to our school paper "The Varsitarian" of UST that the growth of the population of Korean students in UST is very noticeable. Not because UST is that internationally popular but it's just because of the trend.

The facination over Koreanovelas here in the Philippines, in my opinion is far from over. More and more of its kind keep on coming on our local TV screens. And now, ever since the hit adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Marimar, a new trend will be born pretty soon. Once again, the rivalry of the two waring TV networks will come into another heat wave when the local adaptation of My Sassy Girl (I think) of ABS-CBN and Kim Sam Soon of GMA 7 hits the primetime. I just wish that each would give justice to their Korean counterparts... I wonder if they'll do any good. Now I'm excited! Oh, by the way, I just want to say that two versions is enough for this kind of soaps, three is a bit too much. Read between the lines then you'll understand what I mean. Trust me, it could be a bit too "ugly"...
